I painted this series on ceramic tiles while living at the Portuguese coast to explore the ocean’s deeply symbolic and sensual side. I have learnt to read the waves and trust that the cyclical nature of the ocean holds reference to the rest of the world. Each painting shows a different reflection from burning desire to complete calmness. I hint the emotions by naming the works with lyrics from music accompanying me in the creative process.
