Mapping the Narrative Landscape

My photography explores emotional transformation, religious and romantic entrapment, and the search for inner healing. Growing up in a fundamentalist Christian cult, I use my work to process and rewrite my internal narrative. Each image is created within a meticulously constructed, dreamlike environment that blurs the line between reality and imagination. I avoid digital manipulation, choosing instead to build tangible, hand-crafted sets that reflect my inner state and create spaces of emotional safety. My self-portraits are raw, chaotic, and deeply personal, often leaving me messy and exhausted but transformed. Through this process, I aim to hold up a mirror—not just for myself, but for others—inviting viewers to confront their own darkness, rediscover wonder, and find healing in the act of looking.
