My paintings explore the quiet tension between observation and memory. Working with oil on paper and charcoal on raw canvas, I use layered gestures, shifting textures, tonal contrasts, and muted colours to transform familiar botanical forms into dreamlike environments.
I am interested in the space between what is real and what is remembered. As memory changes over time, fragments are reshaped by perception, emotion, and what we want to believe was true. Through painting, observed forms become fragmented and uncertain, moving between clarity and dissolution. Shadow, light, and surface marks allow the real and imagined to overlap.
