Noel Smith-Sparrow is a painter, illustrator and witchy woman. Using the marriage of ink and watercolor, her work is both hyper-detailed and wholly fluid. Noel's work is delicate and feminine with a strong undercurrent of the universal ache to be re-connected with the divine. Noel's work tells a story of metamorphosis and re-birth through rich symbolism and powerful archetypal figures. Her paintings are much inspired by the occult, the macabre and the alchemical-process of metamorphosis. Noel is a self-taught artist and has shown in galleries and community spaces across Canada. She currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario.
