Where the first paragraph is talking about the self-deprecating voice that is following the main character around his house while he is performing his mundane acts. The negative voice character has a distinct color and shape to be recognizable on the illustration. The idea is that those are the things that might be happening to everyone where they get followed around by the intrusive thought in the privacy of their own home.
