In an age of ephemeral-everything, black and white photographs speak volumes to me. They have an effortless ability to make you feel rooted in the moment, something I try to capture in the photos I compose. In spite of the magnitude of change -- technological, social, and cultural -- that the future years will bring, I hope the images I've taken will stand as representations of the people, places, and environments as they were in our times.
