It took 37 years to experience this journey — and it was everything I expected and more. New York City is a monstrous place: from its sheer size and towering skyscrapers to its diverse, cool, and sometimes chaotic community. It’s a place where everything feels possible, yet an apocalyptic downfall always seems just around the corner.
