The Moon is a circle, a hovering reminder to the beginning-less mystery of birth and death. The medium of the photograph offers a possibility of unity of space and time into a single visual object. This series explores visual relationships to this great mystery, and the balance between opposing forces such as self and other, light and dark, subject and object. Photos were produced in a studio setting using long exposures and artificial light. Processing is minimal with all visual effects occurring in camera.
