Moving Through Cities is a personal collection of twelve illustrated postage stamps celebrating transportation and travel around the world. Each stamp depicts a mode of transportation associated with a particular city or country, from New York’s yellow taxi and Italy’s Vespa to Tokyo’s bullet train.

Transportation can be deeply connected to our understanding of a city, with some vehicles becoming inseparable from the places they belong to. I wanted to explore this idea by pairing each vehicle with architecture, landscapes, and other visual details from its surroundings.

Organized into four groups of three, the collection uses limited palettes and simplified compositions to create a sense of consistency. At its heart, this project explores how everyday objects can become connected to memory, identity, and place.
