Two self portraits reveals Muirheads complex and fractured sense of self exploring illness, sexuality, scarring and mutation. After an unfortunate encounter with a bike and the resulting broken leg, the artist expllored surreal thoughts in her small sketchbook series titled 'Lucid Scribbles' which she recently exhibited as part of her most recent solo exhibition at Pontone Gallery in London alongside her new body of paintings and larger disaster Drawings pictured here.
