Night Fables is a series of illustrations built on flat silhouettes and bold two-colour contrast: black figures against saturated red, yellow and blue. Foxes, crows, wolves, horses and birds act out small nocturnal stories – a crow and a fox under the moon, wolves calling to a starry sky, birds stealing stars, a herd running in endless rhythm. The work draws on Mediterranean folk art, ancient vase painting, linocut and woodcut printing, translating their graphic economy into a contemporary language. Each image is reduced to the essential, so that shape, rhythm and negative space carry the narrative.
