No face, no process: Isaac de Honoret at New Art Lourmarin

Isaac de Honoret's reliefs hang on the wall like paintings and gain depth like sculpture. Faceted, built from colliding plates or dense fields of raised cells, they are usually held to a single color. Their materials and process are not disclosed, and the artist appears in public only behind a mask. Each piece carries its own shadows, so it shifts with the light and with where you stand. "In the end, what I want people to feel doesn't matter very much. What interests me is what they actually feel."

Synapse is the first piece from his collection Les Convergences to be shown in public. Its raised cells, all in the same copper tone, each touch their neighbors, like the point of contact between two nerve cells that gives the work its title. It was unveiled in October 2026 at New Art Lourmarin, in Provence.
