Odd Little Present [2025] is a body of work probing memory and the creation of identity in the spirit of Edouard Leve’s Autoportrait. Leve’s book is one single paragraph of distinct statements that paints an intimate yet detached portrait of the author, whose veracity and accuracy we must take at face value. Stitching together analog images produced between 2008 and 2017, during which I left home at an early age and developed relationships that constituted a new kind of family, with those made in the last six months, much as Leve does with declarative sentences throughout his book, I’m wrestling with the notion of self-continuity as I investigate the person I was with the individual I've become.
