"olden daydreams" was shot on medium format film in the Colorado Rockies, about a year into my relationship with my partner. I made it inside what felt like a waking dream.
As a teenage girl, I imagined a life held by an abundance of beauty, love, wonder. Standing in these mountains, I realized I was living that life in real time.

I was enamored by the softly lit woods, the way their stillness echoed the tenderness of opening your heart to someone else. I wanted to turn a fleeting moment into a permanent memory. Shooting film asks me to slow down, to let go, to trust that what I saw would remain even after the moment passed.
