OP0029 Mute Ember

MUTE EMBER — 2026
Acrylic and mixed media on canvas, 30 × 30 cm
Mute Ember marks my return to painting after years working with motion, digital images and designed visual systems. Coming back to the canvas meant giving up part of that control.
The work grows through accumulation, collision and interruption: colour is layered, dragged, mixed and partially erased until forms begin to appear without becoming fully defined. In Mute Ember, a dense organic mass pushes against an unnaturally bright green field, creating tension between body and abstraction, instinct and construction.
My background in motion shapes the way I build a static image: through rhythm, friction and suspended movement.
Not everything that stops moving is still.
