The world I try to paint is not reality as it is, but as it might exist in a dream, a memory, or somewhere in between.
My paintings begin with something recognizable, yet are never bound to reality. Faces, colors, and forms carry a subtle sense of unreality, like memories we can no longer distinguish from dreams.
I am drawn to the fragile space between recognition and uncertainty, where the familiar shifts into something unknown. I construct worlds that feel believable yet leave room for imagination and projection.
These worlds move between melancholy, beauty, and unease. Figures seem suspended outside of time, suggesting fragments of stories without a fixed narrative.
Perhaps my paintings are memories of something that never happened. They carry the intimacy and emotional weight of remembering a world that was never there.
