My name is Tamás Todor. I am a painter from Cluj, currently living and working in Budapest.
My artistic practice has long been shaped by dark surrealism and expressionism. For me, painting is a way of confronting what lies beneath the surface of our perceived reality. I am interested in the fragile boundary between the familiar and the uncanny, between life and death, destruction and renewal. Rather than offering answers or easy resolutions, I seek to create images that invite the viewer to face these uncomfortable truths and reflect on our place within the larger cycle of existence.
Through my paintings, I seek to confront the existential anxiety inherent in being, the inevitable passage of time, and the perpetual cycle of decay and rebirth.
