Peilin Li’s work sits between illustration and graphic design. After working across editorial, branding, and motion, she has learned to combine illustration’s emotional qualities with the structure of design to create clearer and more intentional visual stories. At the core of her practice is illustration as a personal language. She draws inspiration from small, everyday moments—messy rooms, quiet pauses on a balcony, time with friends, or tiny bits of chaos that often go unnoticed. These moments are transformed into lively, character-driven scenes filled with humor and warmth. Her images are frequently exaggerated yet grounded in observation, using rhythm and movement to carry emotion. Rather than explaining everything directly, she allows the illustration to speak and invites viewers to bring their own memories into the work.
