There are only two elements that bring this collection together - pepper and salt. I think they should be the 6th and 7th elements after air, water, earth, fire, and Leeloo (to those who saw "The Fifth Element" movie and are old too).
In many traditions, black pepper and salt symbolized warding off evil, purifying, space protection, wealth, power, and many more. Black and white crystals represent Yin and Yang, the Beginning and the End, Life and Death, Good and Bad. I always saw magic in pepper and salt shakers. They have different forms, and I imagine them like Buddhist figurines with magical content.
The illustrations are about feelings of relaxation into a hot bath after a party, finding nirvana, and frustration of desires.
