During last year’s lockdown, I had planned a trip to Iceland to photograph the country in continuation of my photographic project No Cliché (published by Jane & Jeremy). Due to travel restrictions, I was unable to set out on the journey. I discovered the video game Death Stranding with its landscapes reminiscent of Iceland and instead started taking pictures in the game. This unexpected turn of events gave a new dimension to the project.
And this project also questions what is true or false and what we considered to be true or false. And also what is photography today and is this kind of new projects and photography considered as photography or not ?
A book, published by Chambre Noire, will be released end of November 2021 with this project.
