Submission Sculpture

Props

‘Props’ began as a site-specific installation during Art in Odd Places 2016, Orlando. The installation consisted of cardboard-cutout drawings made from reclaimed consumer packaging, creating facades of small, mound-like memorials. Since then, this transitory project has expanded to include a variety of sites.

With each new situation, ‘Props’ is re-contextualized, suggesting a shifting monument that runs a discourse between the homogenization and capitalization of our spaces and our widespread experiences of displacement and disconnection.
