My recent still-life paintings are inspired by places that have been important to me. I present delicate paper-cut objects and tableaus that evoke significant details from my memories. As I slowly build up the paint in layers, I preserve fleeting daylight, a fragile object, and fading memory in a frozen moment. I am interested in exploring themes of home, migration, and impermanence.
