Sacred Fire is an ongoing body of work developed since 2017, rooted in a Symbolist and Neobaroque visual language. Through sacred iconography, gold surfaces, and heightened atmospheres, the series explores the sacralization of political and cultural power, alongside more intimate reflections on grief, memory, and collective myth. Figures emerge as relics suspended between sanctification and decay, while gold and fire operate as symbolic thresholds between seduction, authority, and destruction. Drawing on 16th-century Flemish painting techniques, my practice combines grisaille and layered glazing with contemporary tools such as photogrammetry and 3D modeling, bringing historical pictorial traditions into dialogue with contemporary psychological tensions.
