For me, an obsession and love of mine that I have not been able to shake has been bmx riding, more importantly riding at skate parks/ “DIY” and dirt jumps. These spaces have been sacred throughout my life weather it was a skate park, jumps in fields, woods or even an empty car park. Offering a way to express myself, as well as refuge to reflect and escape to in times of struggle. I want to explore this photographically by showing how the subculture of skate parks and the people that ride these spaces.
