My work begins with oil pastel paintings drawn from cinema, performance, and cultural memory. I’m interested in how images detach from their original contexts and become altered through memory and reinterpretation.
In this series, I use generative imagery to place my original, unchanged paintings back into imagined versions of the environments that inspired them. The process reverses my usual movement from source image to painting, allowing the finished work to re-enter and reshape its source.
