The act of making art results in a relationship between artist and work. In this series, "Sculpture/Sculptor", this premise is explored, in pursuit of a synthesis of artist and work. The artist becomes one with the art. Flesh and metal are juxtaposed as the artist interacts with the sculpture. Light and shadow play a fundamental role in defining the 3-dimensional quality of the work and shadow itself becomes an element in the composition of the finished print. This series attempts to capture different moods, the intimacy of the relationship between the artist and his work and emotions from the classical figure to a contemporary whim.
