Self Reflections

The most difficult thing to do for most of us, is to really listen to the quiet voice inside of our hearts. The voice that whispers when our fears are yelling at us. The voice we ignore because society wants to tell us who to be. The voice that tells us to be ourselves but we are too afraid to listen to it.
This series was inspired by my own self reflections. I wanted to dive deeper into who I am and really explore it through versatile materials. I created my own wood panels using wood boards and planks. The background is done with oil and acrylic paint. For the flowers and the leaves I used copper sheets and small copper nails, painted with oil paints. This is inspired by my deep connection to the earth; an offering to the viewers to seek their own depth and move past material wants. To relish in their own self worth.
