My practice is labour intensive and research based. The work centres on darker themes. Primary areas of interest in crime/evidence, and horror/film props. Objects that can carry Narrative. My work shares threads with Foucault, Zizek, Eco and Cronenberg they look to beauty, violence, social order, and the media. My work is a mirror reflecting the world back upon itself.

Constant skills development is key in textiles. There is so much to learn, when you feel you have reached a plateau/mastery, it doesn’t last long. You find new places to build on your practice, new fibres and techniques are a constant draw. It is about knowing how to do things well and then subverting the intentions/patterns in textiles to make art.
