Signature is a series of portraits I’ve created over the years that share a common thread in the construction of identity through image making. The pop-infused nature of my work nods to my media-obsessed upbringing, while my early background in illustration and painting continues to inform my crisp visual sensibilities. While my muses span disciplines and backgrounds, each photograph approaches its subject as a cultural figure worthy of monumentalizing. Each portrait exists as both a record of a real person and an interpretation of how they exist in my imagination. Together, the photographs form a larger body of work about aspiration, performance, individuality, and how imagery can shape how we are remembered.
