I am inspired by the spatial qualities of dreams and memories. I aim to embody the fluid logic of these experiences as I sense my way through making paintings. Colour, form and texture help me navigate creating visual spaces that feel familiar yet distant, as if recalling a memory or a dream. I choose colour combinations that I experience as nostalgic. Things are harmonious while simultaneously wobbly; vivid and yet muddied.
