My work explores the relationship between the individual and solitude, as well as a sense of detachment from everyday life. When alone, I often contemplate the role of the self within society and even the universe, questioning the purpose and direction of my existence.
I believe solitude is an inherent and eternal state within every individual—an unavoidable wound, a challenge, and ultimately, a condition one must learn to navigate. My artistic expression is a dialogue between myself and my surroundings in solitude. Through surreal oil painting techniques, I depict the vast emptiness and disoriented emotions that arise in isolation, as well as the existential inquiries of the individual.
