Submission Illustration

Still Here

As humans crave creating chaos just to organize it, I make to give color and pattern a space fight, to discuss their differences, and come to an agreement. My process is to build many separate, colorful, and heavily patterned layers that come together to build one image; I am quilting without any cotton.

This concept of organizing chaos continues in my imagery: it is about managing states of conflict and either finding acceptance or choosing to react in a way that just feels good. Confidence(or lack of), vulnerability, and the search for resolution all inform my work.
