Still Lost In It

In her exhibition, Still Lost In It, Fiona draws from photographs taken on the west coast of Canada. Cutting and layering the photographs mimics the experience of moving through the landscape. The cut silhouettes partially obscure the image, recalling the experience of walking through a forest or driving along winding roads, where dense foliage can initially block a view before gradually giving way to an unexpected lookout. As the landscape changes with movement, the photographic image similarly shifts between what is hidden and what is revealed.
