Submission Painting

blood of my blood

Through my watercolours, I seek to forge connections – a sort of ‘window’ through which to visualise specific moments, in which ideas and feelings such as freedom, the search for meaning, loneliness, overcoming obstacles, acceptance of one’s experiences and affection are all present to varying degrees.
All these aspects form part of a meta-narrative that transcends the work itself – personal obsessions and concerns that are the driving force behind my desire to paint, enabling me, through my paintings, to explore certain aspects of contemporary reality together with the audience.
My works feature both real and imaginary places and characters, all of which are imbued with a certain idealised realism.
