Strange Nostalgia for the Future

My encounter with the last "bigoudène", Alexia Caoudal, still wearing the headdress, foreshadows the disappearance of a traditional garment, the disappearance of a way of life. A tradition is quietly fading in front of our eyes, making us witnesses to an unfulfilled transition.
But what if it had happened? What if it were possible to make tradition and modernity coexist? What can we learn from our past to better understand the future? This series of illustrations is an attempt to answer these questions.
