Plasticity is the ability of a being (object) to change in response to it’s environment. The meaning that one subscribes to their life occurs through change, despite change, and often as a result of change. My sculptures explore these concepts directly by reshaping/ redefining polystyrene blocks through a dissolving process with organic solvents. The work embraces change and allows for the materials to manifest into their own ends.
