Greetings. I am Mitch Gillette, a Philadelphia artist who has created a unique 300-page illustrated / graphic novel titled Tales of the Buffoon. A quirky new twist on the form, it is essentially an adult picture book in a horizontal format with narration.

It's an epic of child-like wonder and dark, adult absurdity set in an indeterminate past and patterned on a mean old folktale. In interlocking episodes, it tells the comic tales of a wily, enigmatic trickster couple, known as "The Buffoon and His Wife," and their never-ending, lethal battle of wits with the seven other ignorant, foolish buffoons and their equally despicable seven wives. It is unpublished.
