My interest in animism is reflected in my figurative work in several ways: through the content and/or through obvious brush work, my way of suggesting movement and connection with our environment. Sometimes, I push the chroma to evoke a heightened sense of energy. The figurative work also suggests moments of private ritual, usually set in abstracted nature.
