The Fingerlarity

The Fingerlarity explores one of the most familiar and expressive parts of the human body. Hands touch, hold, communicate, and shape our physical world, but when AI attempts to reconstruct them, these familiar gestures can become awkward and distorted. Yet there is something familiar in that awkwardness. The machine’s imperfect interpretation of intimacy echoes the ways humans also struggle to express tenderness, connection, and emotion. Born from photography, digital manipulation, and generative AI, these hands move between recognizable human forms and strange, organic structures, becoming extensions of the landscapes and environments around them. The title plays on the technological singularity, placing the finger at the center of an evolving relationship between human intention and machine imagination.
