Being an observer in life I like to surveil and paint my surroundings; people, objects, nature, animals, scenes…
Honest perception for me is accompanied by feelings, therefore when I paint my objects I also feel them, I connect with them. I like to bring out the special of everyday moments and objects in my life through my work. A natural enthusiast , I am inspired by life’s daily play. Those feelings of childlike enthusiasm for life are what I try to convey through my art, often in a humorous manner.
I take photos of people or scenes and later bring them into my studio to start painting. In the process I feel the experiences and connect my feelings with the colours I use. Time painting in my studio alone is where I feel the most complete and connected to my inner self. It's where my two worlds meet, fantasy with reality..
