In these works I have been playing with the recurring motif, the long ears creature, with the surrounding space. I selected scenes that intrigued me specifically from my mundane life and transcribe them into drawings. The scenes could be from a picture I receive from a friend I miss, or somewhere I pass by. Often these spaces trigger a feeling of nostalgia, loneliness, fancy and charm out of its mundane look. The motif in the work is to almost work as a finishing touch, to either supply a twist of mood, or enhance the emotion rendering. By the input of motif into the space, I seize a moment where my thoughts and sentiments linger, wander and stay.
