The Ritual of Mortality

This illustration is an exploration of identity through the lens of inevitable doom.

Inspired by my fascination with antiques, folk mystery, and the emotional resonance of forgotten spaces, I wanted to create a contemporary 'vanitas'. Traditional symbols, like the dead flowers and crocheted mat, clash with the static-filled 'Relics' screen and tech, creating a narrative space where existential dread meets the quiet intimacy of an imperfect moment.

A world where the search for meaning bridges the gap between the antique past and an artificial future.
