My artwork explores the seven stages of love as a complicated emotional journey shaped by attraction, affection, obsession, manipulation, confusion, resentment, and the struggle to understand what love truly means. Instead of presenting love as something entirely beautiful or comforting, I wanted to show how powerful feelings can become tangled when one person is deeply attached while another person or outside force tries to influence, restrict, or control that attachment. At the centre of the composition, a dark figure represents a man who is overwhelmed by his love for someone. His head is enclosed in a large black shape, suggesting that his thoughts have become a private world from which he cannot easily escape. The darkness symbolises uncertainty, overthinking, and emotional pressure. He may love intensely.
