I find inspiration in my natural surroundings, my experiences and connection to my heritage. Combing these narrative aesthetics to depict and create playful and strong beings that reside in a fictional space. The use of bright colour in my work comes from my fascination with traditional wears and costumes of women from around the world. I am drawn to their energy and power.
Most recently, I have reconnected to my own identity and surroundings. As a daughter
of a Greek immigrant family, I explored this feeling of displacement where my characters wear with pride the struggles and beauty of being brought up with one cultural identity, finding the other in the home country where you reside and fitting somewhere in the space in-between.
