The Wayfaring (Journeying and initiation) bridges the worlds of visual storytelling and cultural introspection, drawing inspiration from values, traditions, and heritage. Through a series of photographic works, this project reflects the journey of balancing identity integration and resistance as a Muslim woman in the UK. The sense of alienation and isolation caused by contrasting cultures and identities drew me closer to my own roots and spirituality. Islamic Mysticism takes you through seven different stages, but for now, I could navigate through the three main stages.
