Thresholds is a return to the atavistic through enchanted pathways. Integrating both analog and digital photography and photographic processes, the ongoing series is comprised of images created on journeys to an array of ancient spiritually significant sites (Ongtupqa in the Hopi language (Grand Canyon), Sí an Bhrú in Irish (Newgrange), Hringdalskumlið in Icelandic amongst others). Alongside are images of small scale, otherworldly tableaus interspersed throughout, made to honor these sacred places, syncretized with many connective threads and as part of a re-wilding journey within and in the world. The imagery is guided by an animist ethos, celebrating the sacredness and sentience of the elemental and beyond.
