& Until The Dreams Come is a series of surreal watercolours, a visual interpretation of the poetry book of the same name by Danabelle Gutierrez. It follows one person through the stages of a relationship: how it begins, how it turns, and how it ends. Drowning is told through sea creatures, and burning through smoke and flames. Elements of nature show love as something organic that lives and dies. The octopus stands for the presence of another person, felt rather than seen, and only ever in parts. Its touch can be tender or oppressive, and each painting shows how that presence changes the central figure.
