Art born from movement
Ur Creatur is an illustration, art and movement project created by Xavier Silvente.
My drawings are born after dancing: free dance, 5Rhythms, ecstatic dance and contact improvisation. From that energy emerge fingers, eyes, bodies and creatures that celebrate our humanity.
I turn these illustrations into T-shirts, original artworks and creative workshops. My intention is to create art that can be worn, shared and inhabited: a reminder that we are human, sensitive and capable of imagining other possible worlds.
My work begins in the body. Through free dance, 5Rhythms, ecstatic dance and contact improvisation, I explore movement as a source of images. After dancing, I draw the energy that remains: gestures, traces, fingers, eyes and human creatures.
