I was commissioned to create one illustration per day for the month of January 2022. I chose vases, as a fresh start to the year but also that go from the object towards abstraction as the month progresses. I was inspired by my Hungarian heritage of folk art with its decorative motifs on tapestry, vases, and floral patterns.
