As an artist, I find great comfort through the food I consume.Through my work I consider how we find comfort through food and discover whether or not, interaction and engagement creates a connection within a whimsical environment. I use soft sculptures, sound and interactive installation pieces to address how we identify a personal experience, through our own memory and time. My work addresses the concept of community and social space and how food is a magnet for bringing families, friends and communities together. It crosses traditional barriers of religion, colour and race to engage in conversation and partake in a meal.
